On 21 July 2026, The Well in Action (TWA) successfully convened the Year III MaYEA Program Familiarization and Planning Workshop at the Northern Star Hotel in Mekelle.

The event brought together key members of the MaYEA Regional Steering Committee, Regional Technical Working Group, Woreda Administrations, and implementing partners to reflect on past impact, celebrate major milestones, and strategically align priorities for Year III.

Key Highlights from the Workshop:

• Celebrating Success: Opening remarks from TWA’s Executive Director set the stage for presentations detailing MaYEA 1.0 achievements—focusing on program outreach, loan disbursements, repayment performance, and key lessons learned.
• Exemplary Recognition: A dedicated awards ceremony honored high-performing woredas. A special tribute was paid to Tahtay Maychew Woreda for their outstanding loan repayment performance.
• Charting the Future (MaYEA 2.0): Participants were introduced to the strategic direction of MaYEA 2.0 and roadmap priorities through September 2026, emphasizing key innovations, monitoring frameworks, and stakeholder commitments.

The workshop wrapped up with actionable agreements reaffirming the shared commitment of regional government institutions, partners, and stakeholders to accelerate impact across Tigray.
