From Two  shallow Wells Withh and-Pumps

Communities in Dembelo and Chirecha Got
historically faced critical challenges due to a lack of safe water access. This
not only resulted in a high prevalence of waterborne diseases but also required
residents to spend excessive time collecting water. To address this, TWA
implemented a clean water project serving 3,202 people in Katila Village,
Dembelo Got. The project achieved its core objectives: it eliminated the
community’s dependence on unsafe river water and drastically reduced the water
fetching distance for beneficiaries from 18 km to 2 km.

      • Impact:

        • Eliminated the consumption of unsafe river water.

        • Reduced the water collection distance from 18 km to just 2 km, saving time and improving community health.

    • Challenge: Communities in Dembelo and Chirecha Got suffered from waterborne diseases and lost productivity due to a lack of safe water access.

    • Intervention: TWA provided a clean water source for 3,202 people in Katila Village, Dembelo Got.
