Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — On 9–10 July 2026, The Well in Action (TWA) convened a two-day MaYEA Program Team Meeting at its Head Office in Gerji Mebrat, Addis Ababa. The gathering brought together Woreda Program Officers, thematic experts, and Head Office staff to refine internal systems, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and align on strategic implementation priorities for the year ahead.

The meeting reflected TWA’s commitment to an integrated approach, bringing together key operational and programmatic roles, including the Enterprise Development Officer, Senior Apiculture Officer, MEAL Officer, Cluster Coordinator, and MaYEA Program Manager, alongside representatives from Finance, Human Resources, IT, Procurement, and Logistics.

Key Highlights

• Day One: Systems and Staff WelfareParticipants engaged in an informative session with Awash Insurance S.C. to review staff insurance coverage and benefits. Additionally, the ASHEWA Technology team facilitated an orientation on TWA’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, focusing on streamlining digital workflows, boosting operational efficiency, and reinforcing organizational accountability.
• Day Two: Strategic Planning and AlignmentThe MaYEA Program Manager presented the 2026 implementation plan, establishing clear woreda-specific targets and strategic priorities to guide project execution across all target areas.

Institutional Support and Field Commitment

TWA’s Executive Director expressed full confidence in the team’s capacity to drive results, urging staff—particularly Woreda Program Officers—to uphold strong accountability, collaboration, and dedication throughout the implementation phase.

Speaking on behalf of the field team, the Cluster Coordinator reaffirmed their commitment to achieving program goals while highlighting the necessity of a stable operating environment for successful delivery.

Moving Forward

Following the meeting, the field team returned to Shire, Tigray, with renewed focus, aligned priorities, and a shared dedication to empowering youth and building sustainable livelihood opportunities through the MaYEA Program.
